Still presents a sequence of time-lapse shots of urban spaces, entirely devoid of movement or signs of life, impossibly static and empty. Leaves on the side of the road are blown by the passing of non-existant cars. Only the faintest shadows and reflections of pedestrians are visible on a crowded downtown street corner.

The video sequences in Still were processed using software techniques I developed to remove quickly moving elements from a video sequence, while leaving slower moving or still parts of the image untouched. The software struggles and grinds through each scene, attempting to nullify all signs of life and motion we expect, leaving behind only slowly compounding errors, haloes, and reflections of what used to be there.
